BOOGIES, BAY AREA & NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
 

Family Jam (Berkeley): Twice a month, the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 6 to 7:45 pm, at 8th Street Studio, 2525 8th Street at Dwight, Berkeley. $5 for adults, kids are free! A before-bedtime freestyle dance for kids of all ages and the people who love them. We provide an open space with trampolines, hula hoops, and other toys, play kid-friendly adult music from around the world, and dance and play together in an unstructured setting.

Barefoot Boogie (Berkeley):
7:30-11 p.m. Sundays, 2525 8th Street at Dwight in Berkeley. $8-15 sliding scale, $5 first-timers, kids free. (415) 820-1452 You may read an article as it appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle about Barefoot Boogie and other Bay Area freestyle dance events. This is a scent free dance.

Radical Suburban Boogie (Redwood City): Every Friday night, 8:00 to 11:00 pm. At the Old Fellows Hall, 839 Main Street Redwood City, 94063 above the antique store.

Soul Sanctuary Dance (Berkeley):
Every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm, at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley. No admission fee - only an invitation to pay-it-forward for future dances.  A freestyle dance with a strong community orientation, and a welcoming spirit.
